Account executive requirements, with the quote you would need
AE postings want closed revenue or a book you farmed. SDR work is related and not the same. Quote the deals or the accounts at the level of detail already on the page. Do not invent ACV.
Examples on this page are fictional composites, not customers and not testimonials.
Often required
New logo, expansion, or both
As you did it.
Who you sold to
Title, company size, or industry, from your text.
The motion’s length
A one-call close and a six-month cycle are different. Describe yours.
A number only from the resume
Quota, ACV, or a deal size. Omit if absent.
A partner in the sale
An SE, a manager, or a channel, if written.
Often preferred, and easy to fake
- A renewal you owned
- A tool such as Salesforce, if you lived in it
- A vertical you can speak to
What a citation looks like
Full-cycle sales
“Closed expansion on 14 existing logistics accounts and sat on the renewal calls myself.”
Book and motion are clear. A dollar figure is not in the sentence, so none is created.
Enterprise six-figure deals
“No sentence.”
Fourteen accounts do not prove deal size. The requirement stays unsupported.
The gap people paper over
Quota attainment, President’s Club, and logo walls are the inflated zone. If finance did not put the number on your review, it does not go on the resume here.
Questions
I was an SDR moving to AE.
Quote the meetings you booked. Closing is a gap until you have closed. The letter should say so or stay silent, not pretend.
Can I round a deal?
No. Use the figure you already wrote or omit it.
