Executive assistant requirements, with the quote you would need
Assistant postings ask for judgment under someone else’s priorities. Evidence is the scope of the calendar, the travel or the meeting load, and the confidentiality you already describe. Do not invent a C-level title you did not support.
Examples on this page are fictional composites, not customers and not testimonials.
Often required
Who you supported
One executive, a team, or a front desk. Use the resume’s noun.
Calendar or travel you owned
A concrete habit, not “managed complex schedules” with no detail.
A tool
Outlook, Google, or a travel tool, named if it is named.
A document or meeting you prepared
Boards, one-on-ones, or expenses, as written.
Discretion, shown by the work
The claim is the access you had, not the adjective.
Often preferred, and easy to fake
- Expenses or a budget process
- Event logistics
- A second language used at work
What a citation looks like
Calendar ownership
“Ran the chief of staff’s calendar, including weekly staff and the quarterly board prep.”
The person and the meetings are specific. It does not prove you supported the CEO.
Concur or expense audits
“No sentence.”
Booking travel is not an expense audit. Leave it unsupported.
The gap people paper over
“Chief of staff” is a different job. Do not retitle an assistant role because the posting uses the grander name.
Questions
I supported several managers.
Say several, if true. Do not pick the most senior person in the building unless you supported them.
Should I list typing speed?
Only if you want to and you know the number. It is rarely the requirement that matters.
