High school teacher requirements, with the quote you would need
School postings are jurisdictional. Certification, subject, and grade band have to match what you wrote. Coaching, a club, or a curriculum unit counts when it is listed. Another state’s license does not appear by wish.
Examples on this page are fictional composites, not customers and not testimonials.
Often required
Subject and grade band
Use the ones you taught. Do not add a tested subject for fit.
Certification status, exactly
Certified, provisional, or out of area. This app will not guess.
A classroom practice you can describe
A unit, a lab, or a feedback habit.
Students, described without private detail
No names. A class size only if you already publish it.
A collaboration
A team, a family night, or an IEP meeting you attended, if true and appropriate to write.
Often preferred, and easy to fake
- A club or a coach role
- Curriculum you wrote
- A second subject you are actually allowed to teach
What a citation looks like
Secondary science
“Taught 10th grade biology and ran the after-school science club for two years.”
Subject, grade, and an extra duty are quoted. A chemistry endorsement is not implied.
AP certification
“No sentence.”
Teaching the subject is not an AP audit or the College Board credential.
The gap people paper over
Test-score lifts and “100% pass rate” are the numbers that get invented. If the school published them and they are not in your resume as your class, leave them out.
Questions
I am switching countries.
Quote the license you hold and the one you do not. The posting’s local credential is a gap until you have it.
Can I include student stories?
Only without identifying detail, and only if you are comfortable. The tool will not create them.
